Replies. Hi JW, The side switch, as you say, is currently locking the orientation of your screen. To change it back, you need to go Settings > General > Use Side Switch to: and change it from “Lock Rotation” back to “Mute”.
How to turn silent mode on or off without switch button on iPhone
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch.Scroll down to the bottom and select “Back Tap”.Tap on ‘Double Tap’ and select Mute under the System category. Double-tap (or triple-tap) firmly on the back of your iPhone to turn on or off the silent mode.
The Ring/Silent switch is on the left side of your iPhone. You can use it to control which sounds play through your iPhone speaker.
If you still ask why my iPhone 11 is stuck on silent mode, probably you haven’t restarted t yet. Sometimes, simply restarting your phone can fix this issue, if the device has not powered up properly. For iPhone 11, 12, 13 & X or above, press the side button and volume up or down button simultaneously.
Make sure that your iPhone’s Ring/Silent switch isn’t in the Silent position. You can find your iPhone’s Ring/Silent switch on the left side of the phone, above the volume controls. It should be closer to the screen. If it’s flipped down (with a red band visible), it’s set to silent.
Check Sound Settings and Volume
Under sound, Android offers four categories of volume — Media, Call volume, Ring, and Alarm volume. If you use volume buttons to change the volume, make sure to check ring volume and if it is minimum, increase it to the full.
